The Origin of Fish’n'Chips
Steve Hamaker (best known as the colorist for some issues of the comic Bone) created a rather strange superhero comic known as Fish ‘n’ Chips. Now Cartoon Books brings together the first issues in a full-color trade paperback, Fish ‘n’ Chips Volume 1. Here’s how they describe it: “Solomon City is under attack by vampyres, and the only people willing to stand in their way are a telekinetic goldfish with a robotic body and a lightning-charged cat! Don’t miss the origin story of the superhero team of Jaxer ‘Fish’ and Clave ‘Chips’! Exclusive pin-up gallery features new works by James Kochalka, Alex Robinson, Andy Runton, David Petersen, and Kazu Kibuishi.” The graphic novel is available now on Steve Hamaker’s web site.

Kyell Gold Unveils ‘Out of Position 2? Title and Cover
During a Midwest Fur Fest panel for SofaWolf Press, author Kyell Gold finally revealed the title to his Out of Position sequel.
The sequel, Isolation Play, releases January 14, 2011 during Further Confusion.
The story picks up immediately after the events of the first novel, following Dev and Lee as they try to balance their relationship and football career. Not to spoil the ending of the first book, but the first chapter includes crossdressing, a coffee shop, a swift fox reporter that smells like scotch, and one groan worthy pun.
Blotch returned to do the cover for Isolation Play. Lee is on the cover, though Dev is technically not. There is, however, a young tiger cub. What does it mean? We’ll get a copy of it to show as soon as we can.
The novel is just a couple months away from release. We’ll have a review up before Further Confusion.

OMGWTF! Furries Saga - Season 1, Episode 2: Revenge of the Yiff (Part II)
Watch this week as we continue to meet the cast, including not-quite-furry Martino and the illustrious illustrator Robert, while Tio Koggey faces a press conference undaunted by the sheer idiocy of it all.
In this successor to the original OMGWTF! Furries documentary, the consequences left throughout our culture for years after the original piece was completed. Some of the original cast returns. Some of the original cast has been brutally murdered. A dangerous enemy is at large, and Umgotts Studios is gearing up to release another stupid home movie. Meanwhile, a curious young man on a quest for justice, revenge, and vengeance is about to make his first foray into the furry fandom.

Extremely bad advice
Hey, look! This time they rhymed "furry" with a Mad magazine reference!
Sex advice column (ominous music and thunder crash). But wait, there's a twist! Basically, guy with a fetish for fur is having trouble, partially because he's a guy with a fetish for fur, partially because he's afraid he'll get mistaken for a furry.
As comments on last two posts to this community's original source (I guess this would be it's third post link in a row) reveal, Mr. Fur Fetish man shares this predicament with the "poor zoos."
Good company to be in, buddy.

Firebreather — The Movie
In the past we’ve told you about Firebreather, the comic book series created by Phil Hester and Andy Kuhn, published by Image Comics. Now it seems that Cartoon Network has gone and snuck out a CGI movie based on it! The story is the same as the comic, described here from Firebreather’s Wikipedia entry: “High school teen Duncan Rosenblatt is the son of divorced parents — a typical suburban soccer mom who wants him to get into a good college, and a 300-foot fire-breathing dragon who wants him to follow in the family business — conquering the Earth and inheriting the throne of King of Monsters; they share custody. Like every other teenager, he struggles to fit in with his peers. His being half-dragon further complicates matters.” The movie comes to Cartoon Network on November 24th. Check out the trailer on YouTube, too.
