New Streaming Site and contest for furry and non-furrys

Furry Reddit - Mon 4 Mar 2013 - 03:28

Contest details inside (streaming not yet working and reasons why are in the link)

Leave comments on how i can improve

http://drawfurfun.com/

This is what i have planned:

  • Chat
  • 1-click Streaming
  • No extra software needed (this is my site's biggest seller stream sites wise almost every other site needs tools)
  • Not guaranteed but if enough donations come in fur it no ad in the stream beside artist ad on the site
  • still some more to be added as i think of it
  • Will listen to user input *also there will be two URLS for the site one is furry and the other is none so artists can stream with ease without using a URL they are not comfortable with

And yes i do have people ready to stream as soon as it comes online for streaming

Previous comment from last post:

"Sorry if I've missed something here, but what is the purpose of this site exactly? I get that's it's for video streaming.. but... There is little to no information on there that I could see, just you asking for money and banner ads. What makes this better than any of the other already available streaming sites? Not trying to be mean I just think some more background/explanation is in order before people starting handing over their $$$ for an unclear business venture. Do you have streamers lined up? Is there a previous post somewhere I've missed? Any info you could provide would be helpful as I don't see this taking off the way it stands now. If you took this onto Dragon's Den they would eat you alive :/"

Sweeping the Clouds Away

In-Fur-Nation - Mon 4 Mar 2013 - 01:41

Oddly enough for an international institution like Sesame Street, it has never had its own comic book — Until Now! Ape Entertainment’s Kizoic imprint presents the first regular Sesame Street full-color comic, written by Jason M. Burns and illustrated by Amy Mebberson. The first issue hits stores this April, and features one of five full-color covers that interlock into an ultra-wide poster.  “From television to the comic panel, Ape Entertainment will portray the characters that millions of parents and children have come to know and love in a comic series that will be produced in full color and available in stores this fall in standard comic sized printed editions for $3.99 and digest sized hardcover comic book editions for $7.99. They will also be available as a digital comic book that will be available through Apple’s App Store for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.”

Running a furmeet for the first time...

Furry Reddit - Mon 4 Mar 2013 - 01:31

Hey guys, I've recently taken up the task of organizing a new meet in downtown Chicago on Wednesdays. Our first meet is this coming Wednesday and it's my first time doing anything like this. I was curious as to whether anyone here has any experience in running one before, and if I could ask for some advice on how to run one successfully. Thanks!

Not like that Doctor in THE RESCUERS DOWN UNDER

Furries In The Media - Sun 3 Mar 2013 - 17:38
http://www.medicalobserver.com.au/news/gp-artist-draws-inspiration-from-animals

“'The principle of the strip is that I always want to create a good picture of GPs’ preferred standard of excellence,' Dr Hilton says.

“'I don’t want to create Doc Rat as a greedy, money-grabbing, rude or incompetent GP. I want him to be a doctor we can all be proud of. I make cartoons because I have something to say, and it forces me to distil my message into a few words and images.'”

For French-readers: Comics going back to 1901?

Furry News Network - Sun 3 Mar 2013 - 16:24
Author: Fred Well, not exactly. You are probably vaguely aware that there have been a lot of French-language funny-animal bandes dessinées going back decades. Chlorophylle the dormouse. Attila the dog. Billy the Cat. Gai-Luron the hound. Poussy. Inspector Canardo. Chaminou the cat. Jungle Fever. The Centaurs. (Are centaurs funny animals?) Yakari is a little North American Indian [...]

Every news agency has bias. This means no one source will have the full story. Some agencies try to tell you they are balanced when they are not, and others openly tell you what agenda they want to promote Because of this, it is important to be able to recognize and spot bias, and take steps to get the most complete account possible.

Animation: ‘Müstiline raba’/'Mysterious Swamp’, by Chintis Lundgren

Furry News Network - Sun 3 Mar 2013 - 04:24
Author: Fred Hmmm. I am not sure that I understand the 2’51” Müstiline Raba. Storks usually eat frogs, not the other way around. The Cartoon Brew says that this is “a delightful taste of that droll humor we’ve come to expect from Estonian animators.” Whatever. The fact that the stork wears a wristwatch and a [...]

Furry Movie Award Watch: February 2013

Furry News Network - Sun 3 Mar 2013 - 02:24
Author: crossaffliction Well, I must say, I am enraged at the Oscars. Host Seth MacFarlane promised at one point that the cast of Prometheus, my pick for worst movie of last year, would be up to explain “what the hell was going on there”. I watched the entire telecast, and was disappointed to find out [...]
