The Fluffington Post
Adorable and amusing photos of fluffy animals presented in mock news articles.
In their wordsThe Fluffington Post was conceived during an instant message conversation between Matt Silverman and Josh Catone.
It was either going to be a scathing indictment of diminishing web journalism standards, or a repository of media about soft, petable creatures.
A decision was made. You’re welcome.

"Closet" Furs
Hey all, So I have a theory.
"Closet Furs" are often frowned upon, because let's face it; you shouldn't have to "come out" for liking anthros like you do with liking people of the same gender.
My theory is: 1. It's difficult to explain. There's nothing furries are tied to, no TV show, video game, etc. This lack of real reason makes it awkward to explain to people.
Stereotypes. CSI, parodies, etc., all make it difficult for someone to take it seriously. One of the most common reactions is "Don't you dress up as animals and fuck?" and nobody wants to put up with that.
Actual statistics. 41% of furries are gay according to a study which I seem to have lost somewhere. This is not the majority, but counting in bisexual, pansexual, etc., heterosexual furries are actually in the minority. This can lead to suspicion, specifically in areas that are negative towards these things.
In conclusion, next time someone claims to be a "Closet" fur, take them seriously. Some environments being a fur could be as controversial as being gay, unfortunately.

I have a bit of an odd problem...
So. I'm trying to learn how to draw. I'm not having trouble learning, per say. I know that pen + paper + practice is how you get better at drawing. I just have trouble practicing. In class I can draw for a few hours at a time, but with nothing to do this week, I've barely touched my sketchbook at all. When I have, I couldn't think of anything to draw and spent 10 minutes staring at a piece of paper before hopping back on my computer. The same thing goes for my writing, if I'm in class I'll just write and write and write, then I get home and I instantly hit a writers block. If anyone else has had this problem, how do you get around it?
(and while I'm on the subject, anyone have some good head & ear tutorials?)

Interested? Here's what I'll need from you:
. Your ref(can be image or text)
. A pose/emotion
. Feral or anthro?
. State what animal it is(if it isn't obvious from the ref)
I'll be doing these over the next week, so please be patient my friends. Thanks for viewing, and being such a lovely community.

Off and on Fur for a While, But Lately I've Wanted to be More Involved
So, title described a lot of this, but for a few years now I've been a bit of a fur, but recently I've really wanted to be more involved in the fanbase, but I can't draw or do fursuiting. I'm also shy about it, so I can't really go to cons or anything. What can I do in the fandom?

I can't draw
If someone could help me or put a good tutorial in the comments It would help greatly. I'm a male so I don't need to draw females.

Anyone Want to be the First to Draw my Sona?
Hey, never had a single pic drawn. My sona is a female, anthro version of this: http://i.imgur.com/elLsfPD.png I'd like her to be wearing clothing, as to what it is, I give artist's freedom.

He Inherited the Estate but His Aunt Is Trying to Steal It Away
Watch anime movie Wolf Children (link in post)
This adorable movie came out in 2012. A mother falls in love with a wolf and gives birth to two children which she must raise on her own after her husband meets an unfortunate fate. The story focuses mostly on around the mother's hard ships and ability to stay positive and patient with her exceptional offspring. This movie has a mellow pace to it and is filled with smooth transformation scenes. When you click this link you may get hit with a few pop ups. Click the button to skip to the actual video, then close the ad over the video and you should have easy streaming from there.

You Remind Me of the Babe
Next month Archaia Press is re-releasing the novelization of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth, the 1986 fantasy feature (with David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly) which was later adapted as a novel by A.C.H. Smith — and illustrated by well-known fantasy artist Brian Froud, who of course also designed the movie and many of its characters. This new hardcover edition features a brand new collection of Froud’s goblin artwork and sketches for the film, recently uncovered, as well as notes and sketches by Jim Henson himself. USA Today has the story on this and other Jim Henson-inspired projects currently in the works at Archaia.
