Anyways, hiya! I'm a fennec fox/husky hybrid (hence the term fusky), and just wanted to introduce myself to the r/furry community, and to shamelessly plug my gamer tag, steam and skype because reasons! Naming conventions
We've all noticed that furries tend to name themselves in different ways but what I'm wondering is how people make that decision. All of my characters, fursona included, have real names, first, last and in a few instances a middle. Even the one with a unrealistic name has an actual first name. But I'm getting off track.
See, what I'm curious about is WHY you named your character as you did. Real names, two words pressed together like from the warriors books, Sanic style (rouge the bat, blaze the cat... Just X the Y names) or even things like "Carl Llama" where it's written as "Name Species" and if you could easily shift your name without confusing others, would you?

I'm new here! Introductions are in order!
Hello all! My name is swiftpaw and I'm a wolf. No one knows but you guys that I'm a furry. I discovered the fandom after finding a piece of art that I really like. (It wasn't yiff art.. I'm not really into yiff that much, but I do like well drawn anthro nudes.) I have never had any art commissioned for me, so I don't really have a 'sona to show you... Unfortunately no fursuit either. I have never been to a convention but I would love to go.. I just haven't had the spare money/ any furs to go with.. I would not go alone lest I be recognized by someone I know. The best thing you can do to imagine by first a is to imagine a white-ish/ tipped gray coat. A fluffy, white tail, with a light red tipped on the backside and front of each ear, and black glasses on my piercing blue eyes.
On to me! I'm a very reserved person, and I keep most of my feelings to myself. I have a lot of scars, on the body and on the heart. I'm 19 years old and I'm a guy, and gaming is really all I do. I play plenty of Diablo 3, WoW, and CoD. My favorite type of music is Drum And Bass (although my favorite artist is Lord Huron.. If you haven't ever listened to the music I would suggest "Lonesome Dreams") and my favorite books are definitely non-fiction. Fantasy books are my favorite, my favorite book has to be the "Inkheart" series by Cornelia Funke. I love comedy and horror movies. My favorite food is tacos! My birthday is in one month and I'll be 20 :). I work full time here in Jax, FL in a pet store. I'm definitely looking for new friends and hopefully one day, a mate that fits me well! Don't be afraid to say hi to me :3

Furry Game Seeks Funding
We’ll let the creators of Beast’s Fury speak for themselves: “Beast’s Fury will be a 2D, arcade-style fighting game featuring anthropomorphic characters. It is currently being developed by a small, passionate team of individuals who are both gaming enthusiasts and professional programmers. The game will not only involve action, but also features engaging story lines, intriguing characters, exotic arenas, and a killer soundtrack! Inspired by famous 2D fighters such as the Street Fighter series and Skull Girls. If you have any burning questions about the project, drop us a line on our Facebook page!” They also have a current Kickstarter campaign, seeking out funding to help them hire more animators. Which in turn will help them get their game demo up and running and out in the wider world much quicker.
