How to get a yarn tail to stick out?
Hello! I've got a yarn tail in the works, that looks relatively close to an anteater's actual tail. The one thing I want to do for it though is have it stick out away from the body, rather than hang there limply like most yarn tails do. I've come up with a couple different ideas on how to accomplish this involving metal coat hangers and such, but they don't seem ideal. Has anyone else figured out a good way to do this, or can offer some advice?
Edit: Thanks for the suggestions!

Any tips on making a yarn tail?
I'm finally making my first tail. I love the look of the yarn ones.
Any tips. Or any idea how to start?

looking for some people to play some games with
I'm just bored and looking for a few furries to play some games with. I play most games except for Dota2, LOL, and WOW. My steam ID is "a snow cone"

Getting a tail commissioned - Is the belt loop the only way?
Hey all, I'm looking to get a tail commisioned, but all of them seem to be set for mounting to belt loops. Are there any other options people have seen out there in the wild? In a perfect world I want it to sit lower than the belt loop method to be more "anatomically correct". I'm planning on sacrificing a pair a jeans to have a hole for the tail.
The tail will probably have a wire/polyfil core so it doesn't rest limp, 12-14 inches long.
And if anyone has any tail maker recommendations I'd love to see them!
