It's a strange question and I would like opinions
So I've been a fur since I was 14 so almost 6 years and when other furs find out I'm straight the just well shun me. Why is that....a lot of my furpals have left me because of that...I feel like I'm in kindergarten again and cooties have broken out. So I my question is..is this common or have I just met some really prick furs?

Regarding the recent fa_mirror bug.
This morning I noticed the bot make 600+ comments (my watched subs don't have that kink of activity) and found out it has been hammering the 420 YCH post. I'm really sorry /u/starfruitattack for accidentally sending a post to your inbox every 2 minutes or so.
It has been taken down while I solve the problem.
Most likely the database went read-only and I cannot store wether the post has already been mirrored or not.
If something like this happens again please do the following:
- message the mods so they can issue a temporal ban on this user.
- message me so I notice the bug earlier.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Edit:
Reading th logs my bot constantly raised the Can't set attribute error. Which happened to be making trouble all arround the bot makers as noted here.
It seems like PRAW had to be updated in order to function correctly. PRAW warned about being out-of-date but since it seemed to be working I didn't notice.
Version 2.1.15 of praw is outdated. Version 2.1.17 was released 13.2375 hours ago.The error arises when trying to make a new post, python raises an exception when trying to reply, which is interpreted as 'the bot failed to make a post, try again later' when in fact the bot did manage to make a new post even though the process had errors.
The bot will be up again in an hour or so, I want to make the most out of this downtime and add some more features.
TL;DR: If you have a reddit bot using Python-PRAW update PRAW as soon as possible.
Edit: I think this is a good entry for the bots-screwing-up subreddit

The rapid evolution of the polar bear
John Timmer:
Despite a number of very obvious features that distinguish the polar bear from other bears, it readily produces fertile offspring with brown bears. And fossil evidence suggests that the two species separated about half a million years ago.Researchers have now sequenced 80 separate polar bear genomes as well as a number of brown bears for comparison, and the results show that appearances only tell a very small part of the story. Polar bears have taken up a blubber-rich diet that may leave them with up to half their body weight made up by fat. And as it turns out, most of the polar bear's genes that have undergone rapid evolution seem to be involved in keeping its cholesterol under control and its heart from exploding under the strain. We often see animals that look similar and yet are different in their abilities. Learning how species diverge further strengthens our understanding of the animal kingdom and of the theory of evolution.
And One More Little Bear
Robert Aragon is a fine arts painter employed in Hollywood. But in his free time he created his first book, A Tiny Teddy Named Cuds. This little bear is not only a childhood friend, he’s a dreamer: He dreams of a world bigger than his room, and he dreams of being bigger than a little bear. And we follow along with his full-color adventures in his imagination. All of which you can see in the book, which is available at Tiny Teddy Press.
Questions for my fellow furs
I figured this might be the best place to ask without getting ridiculed for it, but this is something that has bothered me for a while.
I'm not a fantastic artist. I've tried practicing various ways over the years, many times tracing. I've had a lot of fellow drawers tell me that's how they started. More recently, I've gotten into looking at someone else's lineart and attempting to draw it while also trying to add my own flair. I find this helps with my issue with proportions in the body and I have seen slight improvement in my own drawings now that I'm doing this. I have many pictures in my sketchbook of my fursona that are based off of someone else's work. I want to share them because I am quite proud in what I've managed to accomplish in the last few weeks, but I also don't want to have someone think that I stole artwork and am claiming it as mine. I mean, I drew it all myself, no tracing, but they do look very similar to the original, so...yeah.... Another thing, all the lineart's I've used have been listed as "free" meaning the original artist is okay with other's using it. What do?
On another note: does anyone here take commissions on badges and other such things? Just curious.
