I'm a straight furry male who loves the art. However, I cannot draw it for my life. Lately though, I've been dying to get my creativity out. I could really use some advice, I really don't know where to start.

I'm looking for other furries around the gaming community. I mostly play PC and 3ds games. I tend to play a wide range of games and I'm looking for people to play with and talk to. I'm going to be playing Trove and if you play it and see Terwin on send me a message!

I have commissions I need to finish, but I'm feeling rusty and want to practice before starting on them.

Only doing busts! Please have a reference sheet or image of your character though I MIGHT try to do text ones.

PLEASE BE SPECIFIC ABOUT POSING AND EXPRESSIONS. NOT VERY GOOD AT DRAWING FEMALE CHARACTERS OR HANDS, BUT I'LL TRY!

I also apologize if yours don't turn out as good as others. One of my main problems is inconsistency of skill and style.

A restaurant in Japan has found the solution to lonely solo dining by offering its customers the option of eating opposite large stuffed animals. Let's face it, finding a cuddly date for night out isn't always easy...

I find it to be novel and adorable. In a cafe I use to frequent there was a large (and heavy) stuffed teddy always hanging around.

I'm not exactly new to the furry fandom, but I've always been too shy to really interact with the community or learn more about the whole furry thing. Sadly, I don't even really have a fursona yet.

However, I've decided to stop sitting on the sidelines, and finally get out there! So, where should a newbie start?

do you have any funny stories about when you were drawing furry? i at one point last year was trying to draw a ear or something and flicked my pencil have across the room where i heard a loud thud. I had stuck the pencil in the wall from over ten feet away XD

I guess I should introduce myself to begin with, I'm Diggory, the skunk. Here's a SFW reference sheet since you guys like that sort of stuff. I have been in the sort of, I guess, "furry fandom" since 2007, but I never really considered myself furry until just recently. I've had a multitude of character of characters over the last few years, I started off as "the royal blue duck with the rabbit feet, Dusty" for five years, and then I learned I was gay. I really struggled with the idea of it, so I ended up being a new character that was emotionally disturbed but hid his feelings in late night diners, (the old polar bear by the name of Hudson) for another two years before the last few weeks when I finally opened up to someone, and I guess I'm here... I understood that there shouldn't be a whole, "COMING OUT AS A FURRY" agenda, because it's just a hobby, but it went hand in hand being gay and admitting to that.

I'm here to ask for help for the most part. I want to start getting into the community more, but I'm not really sure where to start and how to go about that? I know the whole con sort of deal, but there aren't any in the near-by area until Spring 2015, and I know there's a site, but I'm just nervous more than anything. There's that FurAffinity site, but is it really a good site to use? I hear so many people say so many awful things about it, and I hear the site is full of... things...

I also see that there have been a few posts recently over the last 24-hours about people being new here, but I'm not really new to the whole agenda, just what to do and what some things are? Where do I meet people with similar interests?

All right, nough' of me, what about you, who are you? What is your "fursona", if that's the term? How are you?

References (the more the better!! if you don't have a reference try to find something that'll work, I won't do these off of descriptions only)
