Earlier this month, the show was invited to visit Salt Lake Comic Con, a rapidly growing and visible local Comic Convention. This might be a controversial topic.

The fandom can't seem to make up their mind about what the public thinks of them.

Example A: I see people who say:

"I had a fursuit on and everyone was staring at me weird."

"People think the fandom is all about sex."

Example B: At the same time, there are just as many that say:

"I told my parents that I was a furry and they were totally cool with it."

"I had my fursuit on and a lot of people wanted to take a picture with me."

EVIDENCE

Exhibit A:

Someone who believes that the public thinks that furries only have sex

Someone who thinks people will question their sexuality if they use a furry wallpaper

QUOTE: "It makes me feel weird telling people I'm a furry cause they automatically think 'Oh you like animal sex.'"

Furries are the most inconsiderate fanbase. (1200 upvotes)

Exhibit B:

Person who believes you don't have to "come out" as a furry

Another person

The people of Pittsburgh love furries.

All the good stuff that furries do. (400 upvotes)
