Aussie Furs?
I'm wondering how many Aussie furs are here. I'm from Sydney, and while I love talking to people from everywheres, I'm wondering if there's peeps from The Land Down Under who would be interested in befriending and maybe hanging out with a newbie.

Dream of a Thousand Cats: Tabby
Graphic Novel: A little romance, a little adventure, a lot of cats
TabbyKickstarter ending 2/8/15
One awesome thing about The “Tabby” Kickstarter: this is an artist that really knows how to work the system! With articles up on at least a dozen websites–probably more than, I just stopped searching after one or two screens of google hits, but “Sidney local news” is a particularly good one, and posts on comic review sites, crowdfunding sites…some amazing saturation bombing! Remember, launching a project on Kickstarter is its own full-time job, if you’re doing it right.
It helps that the author, Stephen Kok, is pretty interesting on his own. His blog, “Creating a Graphic Novel” goes back eight years, and is chock full of interviews, guest art, artist profiles…wow. Worth a read just for the passion in the subject.
Anyway, about Tabby! It’s a simple plot, and pretty human when you get down to it–a carefree bachelor, the rakish striped cat with a half-mask, happily lives one fish to the next, until his son, Tabby Jr, falls for the kitten next door. Interestingly, it’s a largely no-talking graphic novel, with the story told through expressions and action. It’s a 60+ page graphic novel so far, though the stretch goals may expand that somewhat–the $1500 stretch unlocked an extra three-page prologue, and there’s three more stretch goals ranging up to $5000 that could expand the content further (although project stretch is always a risk, Kok doesn’t seem very interested in expanding the core project, so he’s clearly got his head around the danger of the Cult of the Stretch Goal.)
A little scope stretch seems to be the only risk here. The art is already wrapped, with only lettering left to go, and Kok has been writing an “art and creation of the graphic novel” blog for most of a decade, so he knows the process.
This is a pretty solid Kickstarter, and one that I’m going to use for a model in the future. Pledge points: digital, print, print with poster, multipack, early bird specials, and a few different “Cadillac” options for the fans with sketches, and a fun “meet the artist” opportunity if you happen to live in Sidney. It’d be a great resource for anyone working on a graphic novel to look at and steal heavily from.
Check it out! Lots of process information on the Sigmate Studio blog, and you can meet the graphic artist, P.R. Dedelis, over on Deviant Art.

How has this not already been posted here?
In the near future, Microsoft will give us a really nice Gift.
Combine this with a program who let es show our fursona(s) to other furries/-friends over our RL bodies.
OH MY! Can't wait!
But from different viewpoint, let's hope it isn't to realistic, or fursuit makers will loose their jobs.

Let's talk about...sex. NSFW
Normally I wouldn't talk about something so lewd, as I am a more reversed person, but it's the next topic so here we go. So what sex are you? What sex is your fursona? If there is a difference, why? Which sex do you think is more attractive and why? Do you have any fetishes, and what are they? Anything you used to like and now don't? Anything you didn't like and now do? And as always feel free to ask or share any thoughts on anything I missed.
Edit: since I was suggested to answer my own questions I shall.
Male. Male, been thinking of doing a female mirror because why not. I think females are more attractive on the large scale although there are some pretty sexy men. I do have fetishes the are bbws and bears, fembois, and gay stuff? That's not really a fetish. I like cows too that's not really a fetish though they are just cute

Looking to play /r/furry D&D
I have been reading through the different 3.5 rule books and while flipping through savage species I found rules for anthropomorphic animals. It is needless to say that I was pleasantly surprised.
I was then curious to see if there were any current players of the 3.5 system or anyone who would be interested in playing such a game.
I'm willing to DM a session with Anthro Characters and teach new people, but I must warn people that I am not the most experienced, so if any of you are willing and more experienced, it would be amazing to have a volunteer.
General Guidelines for people I am looking to play with if I DM.
- Experienced or new players welcome
- Microphones preferred, with a Skype account and a account on Roll20, the site we will be using to play. (Basically Microphones will have priority over non-mics, but if we have a majority of non-microphone users, we will just use text) I also understand if when doing furry role-play if you prefer to use text.
- Mature players. I am not going to set an definitive age limit, as I am not interested in your age, nor am I looking for players to constantly act like professionals. Just in case a dispute comes up, I expect all players to be respectful.
- This goal for this campaign is to be role-play heavy. I know furries love their role-play, so I figured this would be fun.
- You must be able to handle the death of your character. This is a midevil RPG. Making your fursona into a playable character will be great, however I will not pull punches. I want the players to feel challenged when they do fight. I will not make seemingly possible encounters impossible, but it will be challenging. In case you do die, you can roll a new character.
If you are able to fit the bill as is now, I am totally open to helping you make a character and getting a chance to play with furends!
Hopefully you are as excited about this idea as I am!

Yarn tails
I bought all the materials I need for my yarn tail...except for the brush. Will any old brush work or does it actually have to be a dog brush?

[Game giveaway] I have spare game keys. Want some?
Bought a game on the humble store and noticed A few unredeemed Steam games.
- Company of heroes 2 WFA
- Sonic generations
- Viking: battle for asgard
To have a chance to win the game make a post with the game you want and an in-character reason why (or how) your fursona would play the game. (In essence, amuse me, prove you are not a robot ;)

Does anyone have any animal-specific quirks you've picked up?
I don't even know how to phrase this one do I'll get right to the point.
Living in California, we had hot summers. Sure you can drink a bottle or glass of water, but I swear it tasted better if you just poured a bowl and dunked your face in.
Also, I picked up a wire brush (for long hair dogs...) one day, for giggles, turns out that thing makes my hair feel like pure silk.
Both things started off not being serious, I swear.
Anyone got some fun stories and quirks?
