The Boy and The Beast trailer, a movie directed by the guy who directed Wolf Children!
I think I have been a furry all my life.
Let me explain: It first started when I was a baby. I stole a siamese cat beanie baby from my mom, and I named it Kiki. Due to my playing with them, I started a collection, naming and assigning induvidual personalities to each one. Eventually, I started pretending they were in a place called Kikitown, and as I got older and collected more of them, it expanded into a planet called Kikara in it's own universe, populated by what I referred to as Kikians. Due to them being stuffed animals, I made the race have traits of their species. I found more and more, pretending they went on andventures. Beanie babies introduced me to anthropomorphic animals, eventually finding this fandom, and I felt right at home.
tl;dr: A stolen beanie baby led me to furries.

What is your favourite animal?
I know some furries' fursonas are based off of their favourite animal but I also want to know why. Why this your favourite animal and why you did or did you not choose it for your fursona.

Is there a special reason why bowling is so "popular" in the fandom?
Maybe it's just me, but everyfur seems to love it and I'm just curious as to why :D

Skyscraper among the furs
So I've been into anthropomorphics for years, drawing personified characters, and more recently cosplaying as them. But here's the thing- I draw anthro skyscrapers!
I've got a friend who's a big time furry, getting his first fursuit later this year, and he's recently started going to furry cons and loving it. Me? Even if I don't call myself furry per se, I love the creativity that flows through the furry community- I've seen some great artwork from very talented people, and amazing costumes. And I also love the fact that in the furry community, original characters still have a place, and have not been pushed to the sidelines in favor of recreation-based costuming. (Mainstream geek cons used to be dominated by OCs, now you get a lot of people who look down on or dismiss them because they're not a recreation of something published.)
So my furry friend thinks I should come with him to a con, and bring my Skyscraper-gear. He says that I'd get along nicely there, that originality and creativity are celebrated, and after all, personified skyscrapers are just another type of anthro. He also says I'm a lot less likely to be body shamed and made fun of at a fur-con than some other geek conventions (I'm short and kind of chubby, sadly a mindset that cosplay=modelling or body doubling has taken root in some segments of the geek community)
Is my friend right? If he is, then I definitely look forward to attending a furry con! (I'll just have to make sure my costume armor and robes can withstand lots of hugs!)

My two cents about this place.
You guys are awesome.
I was initially a member of the FA Forums when I decided I wanted to interact more within the community instead of lurking. It was welcoming and warm, and I swapped watches with a few people. But then I left my introduction thread. It's always the same people commenting on everything, trashing people that don't have the same opinion, biting the new furs when they don't follow convention, and being generally elitist about their status as a high-level poster. It seemed like a really harsh place and wasn't really enticing.
I've been a Redditor for three years though, so I knew there was a community on here as well. Although, I never really bothered to post. Didn't want my Reddit username to be associated, and didn't want to create a throwaway.
But when I finally introduced myself, you were all so fucking friendly. And it's Reddit, so the majority of you were very level-headed and grounded when responding. I've made some good friends here already and they related to a whole range of common interests.
I was in a weird place in my life (won't get into that here) and you guys collectively pulled me out of it.
Please keep being awesome. Happy roo

I think I might be a furry
I've had a bit of a thing for anthropomorphic pictures for a while now but it was only until last night when I realised that I actually like them a lot more than most people. Especially when you have dreams about being an anthropomorph for as long as I can remember. Am I going crazy and over analyzing or am I really a furry?

The beginning of a new project. First time making a partial. Here we go! (x-post from r/skyrim)
Are His Fetishes Interfering with a Real Sex Life?
In what universe does your fursona reside?
This universe? A medieval setting? The future? A steampunk world? Provide a backstory if you like. Would love to see the responses :3

Furries, Help would be very much appreciated ^^
Hello fellow furs <3
I seem to be having difficulty in finding a name for my female dragoness, she is a blue/purple aquatic dragon who happens to be smaller than average. I'm not after any generic names but something unique
Ive tried multiple names but I don't feel as if they suit her, so any suggestions or ideas would be very helpful ^
