Amazing 2D animations

Furry Reddit - Thu 5 Feb 2015 - 11:57

I am looking for some awesome 2D Frame-By-Frame animations. It can be a film. It can be a short skit. It can be a Music Video. It can be anything, as long as it isn't a 3D animation, or sub-par quality (That means no flash puppetry or anything that isn't model-by-model). It doesn't have to be furry at all, in fact I'd prefer you not to limit your search, I just want to have my eyes assaulted by beauty. I want to study them for art's sake, because I love fluid animation.

(Example of what I mean by Amazing):

Die young- VivZMind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lxPsUr978g

The Trial- Gerald Scarfe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jViTte8VAzU NSFW CONTENT

Red Line- Madhouse studios https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPLbt_8OMuY NSFW CONTENT

Edit: Marking NSFW because the content can be NSFW.

Please remember to mark posts that are NSFW as NSFW

The Art of.... Art? Furry Art? Whatever, I NEED to learn it now :D

Furry Reddit - Thu 5 Feb 2015 - 10:39

So I have been hitting hard on furry comics and books and found out I wat to learn how to draw. Bad side, I can't find any good Newbie guides for anthro art. Maybe some of you can help me? What inspired me the most (that is not ultra OP like the wonderful art of Rukis http://www.furaffinity.net/user/rukis) was the Housepets! comic. It is drawn really simple but the characters express emotins in quite a unique way.

Book of the Month: The Furry Future, edited by Fred Patten

Furry Writers' Guild - Thu 5 Feb 2015 - 08:31

tff coverFebruary’s Book of the Month, The Furry Future, is edited by FWG associate member Fred Patten and includes stories from several members.

“For the history of the human race we have been locked inside our bodies. Spiritualism, medicine, basic biochemistry and genetic enhancement seek to take us beyond the physical limitations we were born with. The Furry Future is a record of what might become of us once we perfect the methods of reshaping biology.

“Fangs and claws could become just another fashion accessory. We might use our technology to create intelligent and able companions as we spread out to the stars, or else create perfect servants unable to disobey the whims of their masters. We may remake ourselves to attain our future across the galaxy and unlock our spiritual potential, or collapse into war over where the boundaries of humanity lie.

“These nineteen stories take us to these different futures, each one written in the fur we choose to wear.”

Contains the following stories:

Emergency Maintenance by Michael H. Payne
Tow by Watts Martin
Experiment Seventy by J. F. R. Coates
A Bedsheet for a Cape by Nathanael Gass

Falling in Love with a Fursona

Furry News Network - Thu 5 Feb 2015 - 07:56
Author: Hi Papabear, My name’s Bluefluffy. I’m a young gay fur and I kinda fell in love with a fursona—not with the person himself, just with the fursona, and, more specifically, one picture of him. But it’s quite useless to be in love like that. I can’t hug him, and so it’s pretty hard, but […]

Canines to the Rescue — Again!

In-Fur-Nation - Thu 5 Feb 2015 - 02:59

Squarely in the “It’s about time!” department: Warner Brothers Home Video has announced the release of Road Rovers: The Complete Series on DVD later this month. “Meet ‘Cano-sapien’ the next, heroic step in the evolution of man’s best friend! After the evil General Parvo unleashes Professor Shepherd’s inventions upon the world, mutating dogs into monsters, Professor Shepherd recruits an international team of canines and transdogmafies’ them into super-heroic, humanoid crime-fighters.” That description barely scratches the surface of just how completely odd this popular anthropomorphic cartoon series from the 90’s could get. So head on over to the Warner Brothers web site and check it out. And remember: Don’t be weird boy!
