How often should I share my comic updates?

Furry Reddit - Thu 12 Feb 2015 - 01:54

Hey guys!

So, a while back, I started sharing updates to my comic with you all here. It was pretty well-received, and then I got on some pretty crazy flu meds and finished like four pages in three days and a user sent me a message asking me not to share quite so much. Now I'm nervous to share my updates because I don't want to annoy you guys, but this comic is really the only art I do anymore that's not on YouTube, so I enjoy sharing it with you.

Is there a generally accepted rate of submissions, or is it pretty much just put your art up and let the votes decide, and that guy who sent me a message was a dork?

Thanks a bunch!

Oh look *another* new guy!

Furry Reddit - Wed 11 Feb 2015 - 23:59

Hey y'all!

I've been trying to slowly begin interacting with other furs after denying my fluffiness, but decided to jump in with both feet now.

I'm content to just sit on the sidelines and floof occasionally, but I figured I'd let y'all know I'm here so... Hello! :)

Recurring dreams

Furry Reddit - Wed 11 Feb 2015 - 23:09

So I've been having this recurring theme in my dreams lately. Before I explain, here's some backstory. I used to be a pet in the furry community, albeit the online community only. It's important to differentiate a slave from a pet. A pet is not there to obey and do bidding but for companionship and loyalty. Not for sex or to be in love with but for attention and to love. I had a fantastic Miss, who was the perfect owner. Respectful and firm, but very loving. It ended abruptly and I haven't been a pet since.

Now, onto my dream. I can't recall too much, but mostly II remember being a pet again. Of course I'm not an actual dog or cat, but me. I was a mix of my fursona and my human self, although they are largely the same, but I would randomly be Skyshine the Siamese one moment and Eric the human the human the next. There was also a central theme of heroism revolving around myself. Nothing world saving, but minor things. Stopping a burglar, saving my owner /his or her family from accidents, personal heroism. I'm enjoying these dreams Immensely but am also vastly confused by them. I haven't been a pet in years, and didn't have a desire to be one until these dreams randomly started. I don't expect any major psychological advice here, mostly just putting it on paper, as it were. Thanks for listening.

Discussion: Yarn Tails vs Typical Tails

Furry Reddit - Wed 11 Feb 2015 - 21:47

I've built regular tails (tails with faux fur and stuffing), but got talked into trying a yarn tail. A yarn tail is made entirely from yarn.

So far with my experience in building this yarn tail, it's taking forever. I've spent days and just have a base and a handful of the outer fluffs.

Whereas, with a traditional tail, I can build one in a day if I have the materials on hand.

My question to tail builders: Is this typical for yarn tails, or am I missing a massive shortcut? It doesn't feel like I am.

My question to yarn-tail owners: What's been your experience with a yarn tail? It seems extra soft compared to faux fur, is it really? Fresh, quality, faux fur is really nice too. Is it easy to maintain? Its flexibility looks interesting and really caught my attention initially, but I'm not sure if it's worth the time I'm putting into it, especially when a fixed curl in a tail can add a lot of character.

Would you furs be interested in...

Furry Reddit - Wed 11 Feb 2015 - 19:56

...a design contest?

Honestly I have pretty much nothing I can promise aside from a game on steam within the $5-10 range or some free shitty artwork from me.

I just wanna see what you guys come up with.

If you guys actually want this then I'd just like to set some 'rules'.

I'd like the designs to be more exotic species - ignore foxes, wolves, domestic/ well known felines, horses and stuff like that.

I'd like to see wild. Badgers, bears, insects (I actually love bees and ants), coatimundis and things like that.

So if anyone's interested go ahead and see what you can do. The prize (which isn't much) if I have more than 2 entries will be $5-10 game on Steam and shit artwork courtesy of me!

EDIT: I'm a -2/10 genius and I forgot a deadline. This Sunday the 15th at 7:00 PM CST! I can extend a few days of needed. I'm bad at this.

My first furry drawings.

Furry Reddit - Wed 11 Feb 2015 - 19:43

So I've been drawing ever since I was a kid, but just on and off. Back around new years I finally picked it up again and today, after acquiring what can hopefully qualify as a tiny bit of skill, I drew furries! You can tell I get a bit lazy at parts and I'm still not the best at drawing hands and feet, so bare with me here. :P
