Beast of Burden Closer to Escaping?

In-Fur-Nation - Sat 25 Apr 2015 - 02:29

A recent article in Variety notes that Beast of Burden is now set to shoot as the first China / New Zealand co-production animated feature film. “Written and directed by Kirby Atkins (Nickelodeon’s The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron), the story sees a species of now-extinct creatures called Thoriphants rebel against their life of servitude to mankind and embark on a treacherous journey.” You may recall that we previously discussed the film on this very web site. As a reminder, we’ll give you the link to Mr. Atkins’ original proof-of-concept short film, which helped him to secure the production deal for his first solo feature.

Am I a furry?

Furry Reddit - Fri 24 Apr 2015 - 22:33

I'm really unsure if I'm a member of the fandom or not... One side of me is saying 'No, you're not, you just like the way cartoon animals look,' while the other side of me is saying 'Yes! You're most definately a furry!' And the more I read up on how they act, the more I want to be a part of their community, but I worry about what people would think of me. Keep in mind I'm 14, and still have many years of staying in school, where superficiality reigns supreme. In my head, I'm slowly becoming fuzzier, but I ask myself... am I really a furry? Is this a fandom I'm going stay commited to? I'm just confused... does anybody have any advice for me?

EDIT So, I've come to realize and accept that, yes, I am a furry :) So... yeah. I'm pretty glad that I discovered this. Probably not going to reveal it to people quite yet though (I'm not sure if I ever will! Who knows?)

Ask me Anything!

Furry Reddit - Fri 24 Apr 2015 - 22:13

It's the weekend and I've got nothing planned yet. There's really no reason why I can't be be questioned any time, but I'd like to make this invitation to anyone who ever wanted to know more about me. I don't have a lot to hide, so ask away!

Some general stuff about me- I'm a software developer for an Events, Travel, and Booking software company named Lanyon. If you've ever registered online for a for-profit event (not furry cons) then there's a good chance you've used the product I work on-Regonline- without realizing it. Our software gets used by some of the largest companies in the world, including Google and Salesforce. Several of you are probably more familiar with Passkey- hotel booking software also owned by Lanyon.

I've only been to one furry convention and that was TFF 2015, but I do have plans to go to Anthrocon. And I try to make it to as many local furmeets as I can.
