Comic Store Manager Sentenced to Six Months in Jail

According to CBLDF Appeals Retailer Conviction, Jesus Castillo, a comic shop owner, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, a year's probation, and a $4000 fine for selling a comic (Demon Beast Invasion #2) to an adult.

Cripes... are they really that stupid? They sold an adult comic to an adult and they're arresting him and fining him. Proximity to the school has nothing to do with it, considering they keep the real heavy stuff out of reach of the kiddies. Bakas...

Unfortunatley, this is not uncommon in the old south and midwest- politicians use it regularly as a tool to advance their own careers....
Bet you see in the next few months to a year that same prosecutor announcing his bid for some office in the state.....
And this will be on his resume, because he will have a need to show he's "done something for the community."

It's one of the many reasons I hate politics in general.

I don't understand what the problem is. Sure it was an adult comic but it was sold to an adult and it did show how carefully the store protected adult content from minors (ID checks plus the adult material segregated). To me it's a "morals" issue pure and simple.
