I've often found it odd to watch zookeepers at work. The majority seem to act as if they're working at a mall, cleaning the salesfloor, straightening the mannequins. Only very rarely have I come across a zookeeper who acts the way I imagine I would if my job was to care for animals...treating them as if they had some degree of intelligence and sensitivity.
