In Memoriam: RonRon the YouTube fox
Posted by Ringtailed Fox on Sat 9 Apr 2016 - 20:53 — Edited by GreenReaper as of 22:09
Internet-famous vulpine Ron the Fox, well known for the YouTube videos depicting his life, passed away in his sleep on April 6 (video), just ten days before his eighth birthday.
Former owner Albi Azul says he found Ron curled peacefully under his favourite picnic table. Albi had hoped to film an episode commemorating his channel reaching 100,000 subscribers; the award arrived just a few days too late.
News of Ron's death was widely distributed, and inspired art from many furry fans, including crashheart, Muzz, azora and Haru; it also received coverage in the Irish Examiner.
A combination "thank-you" and "memorial" video clip was uploaded on the morning of April 9, but be warned: it is very depressing: Goodbye, silly RonRon, sleep tight.

I wasn't much of a follower of RonRon but I was well aware of how significant he was to furries.
I really don't know what to say... in regards to moving on.
RIP little RonRon.
That's is so sad to hear. He was my favorite fox to watch on YouTube. Everything he did was just downright adorable. I know he has lived a good, healthy life from what I saw in the videos. May he rest in peace.
I saw that video the day after it was posted. More depressing than the contents were some of the comments.

It's all very sad, but let's not forget Albi was quite happy to dump RonRon on his grandparents when he became an inconvenience in Albi's quest for a girlfriend.
They lived _right next door._ I don't think letting family watch your pet (or your children, for that matter) is a bad thing, especially since they liked RonRon, and he liked them. It's not like he was abandoned there, or anything.
I'm glad that I got to meet Ronron a couple of years ago, even if it was at a distance. He was such a sweet fox, a bit skittish but that's their nature especially with strangers. Rest in Peace Ronron, and my thoughts are with Albi and the rest of his fans.
I want to say something controversial, but that would be downvoted into oblivion.
Well, I'll be...
Yeah, good thing you kept quiet, because just cryptically commenting about how edgy-but-restrained you are is really saving your karma.
