This week's poll is kind of building on last week's; the same semi-preachy comment from last week about contributions could be copy and pasted here, but I'm too lazy to even do that, so, anyway. New poll.
Speaking of last week, fiction was the most popular type of review, which is good, because it's also the most common type of review in our archives. Nice when things work out like that.
Personally I think anything furry related should be given a chance for an article, but things that are more closely tied to the furry fandom itself (even if it's the often maligned topics of furry drama) should be given priority, especially if those fandom related topics are relevant to more than a small portion of the fandom.
I tend to see related topics in terms of layers, the less directly related furry items (such as general stories about animals) would be the outer layers while items directly related to furries in the news (especially those who are reported as furries by the media) are an inner layer. I've seen before that some commentators have disapproved of topics on furry drama, especially regarding furries that have been involved in crime but I find it informative - and helps drive in the point that we may all share a common interest but that doesn't mean all of us are deserving the same amount of trust and inclusion.
But like any other news source Flayrah surely has its slow days, and like other news sources stories which might not appear otherwise can pop up on those slow days. I'd rather have a steady stream of stories at least somewhat related to furry than long stretches of nothing new.
In that regard I'm glad our community has many many slow days. There's about 1 crime story a year, and I'd like to see it remain that low. That's up to the community more than Flayrah to determine, and all credit for that lack of them also goes to the community.
