Season 5, part two of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic returns next Saturday, so now seems like a good time to find out how we really feel about bronies nearly half a decade into their existence.
Krystal was one percentage point shy of a true majority in the Star Fox character poll; though comments reveal Green Reaper was pretty sure that was how it would go down, I was betting on ol' Slippy Toad the whole way. I thought everybody loved him!
Meanwhile, seeing as how it's a week past August, the August drama poll is now closed. The FurAffinity woes kept their lead.
So where's the "I am a brony" option?
"If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind."
~John Stuart Mill~
That's a damn good question.
They would probably come under the "like them, like the show they like" option, unless they are self-hating.
But it does bring up a good question, how many furries are also bronies?
Actually is there a poll with that sort of question? Assuming everyone answering is a furry but also what other interests they consider themselves - therianthropes, bronies, trekkies, whatever.
About one-in-four, as also bourne out by this poll.
So (if I'm not hedging ahead of time here) it would appear that the reaction is largely a massive "eh" with a little bit of leaning toward the positive for the show and the fandom. Okay.
