Norwegian wolf shot.
After tracking a wolf pack of 8 since Sunday, the hunters managed to shoot a one year old female today.
The story in english is at:
http://www.aftenposten.no/english/local/d193135.htm
"My local newspaper" (tm) informs that she was shot at a distance of 100 meters, and died instantly.
There is a total of 9 wolves that are to be killed in this region (down from a original of 20!).
As mentioned, 8 of them is in a single pack, the last one's location is unknown (it should have been with the pack....). We probably should hope for worse weather, as the snow and wind is what probably have saved the pack up to now.
Some more pictures (first one is not for the faint-of-heart) are at : http://www.aftenposten.no/english/bildeserier/200201wolf/index.htm
