ConiFur souvenir book, charity auction, and t-shirts

Less than a week remains to get artwork, fiction, poetry, or advertisments into the ConiFur Northwest 2001 souvenir and program book! Deadline is September 15.

There's still plenty of time to donate to the charity auction, benefiting the Washington State Ferret Rescue and Shelter. And the convention is taking pre-orders on convention t-shirts.

Convention Book

The convention book editor is looking for stories, stand-alone art, comics, poems -- anything we can print in a black & white 8 1/2 x 11 inch booklet, so long as it features anthropomorphics and is suitable for all ages. Material with a Pacific Northwest flavor is especially desired, but we're happy to receive any quality material you are willing to submit.

All material appearing in the convention book is subject to approval by both the convention book editor and the convention chairman. We have limited space, so we can't print everything, sorry.

Charity Auction

The Washington State Ferret Rescue and Shelter group is dedicated to caring for the fuzzy woozles of the mustelid family. They take in unwanted ferrets, those too sick or injured to be cared for by their owners, and even inspect the local pet shops to make sure that they are taking care of their animal stock. No ferret is turned away for any reason, unlike other shelters that only want healthy adoptable pets. They take care of them and bring them back to full health, then work to find them good homes with caring owners. It's expensive to feed and medicate the ferrets and they could really use a helping paw.

We are actively taking donations of materials including artwork, computer equipment, or anything at all for the auction with proceeds going to help

T-shirts

Guest-of-honor Malcom Earle (a.k.a. Max the Black Rabbit) has produced a great t-shirt design. You can check it out here,
and you can get the preorder form there too! Because we're running a bit
late this year, we must receive all preorders with payment by Sunday,
September 23rd. We're sorry about the short preorder period, but our printer requires a certain amount of time to actually print the shirts. If you can't preorder, never fear, we will have shirts available at the convention!
