FX to bring naughty dog show 'Wilfred' to U.S.

Wilfred, the bong-smoking, trouble-making dog who caused a rukus in his native Australia earlier this year is coming to the states. [tip: Higgs Raccoon]

The show will be adapted for the U.S. by Family Guy/American Dad writer David Zuckerman. Elijah Wood will play Ryan, while Fiona Gublemann is to be Wilfred's owner, Jenna.

I've watched the first season of the Australian version, it is a fairly dark show. I wonder if it'll be lightened up a bit for an American audience.
