A new take on Wile E. Coyote is popping up in 3D shorts shown before Warner Bros. movies.
This short, "Coyote Falls", was shown before Cats & Dogs 2. Future shorts are expected before Legend of the Guardians ("Fur of Flying") and Yogi Bear ("Rabid Rider"). Extended versions form part of The Looney Tunes Show, airing from November on Cartoon Network.

I don't know how I feel about this.
I think they did it pretty well. It has the careless over-the-top feel of the old Looney Tunes.
I do wonder about the budget, but there's a lot of talent out there now and it's probably not overly expensive.
I find the fact they're doing a Road Runner cartoon in 3D to be highly ironic, given all the detail in the CGI backgrounds and the fact that Chuck Jones evolved the series towards a flat, minimalist design.
That actually wasn't that bad. I mean, usually when I hear that there is a new 3D adaptation of an old cartoon I prepare myself for the worst.
That was pretty damn watchable. Could never stand the animation is most 3D movies so far (except maybe Ice Age), but this, I'd get me some.
