FurBid Mascot Contest

Your rating: None Average: 5 (1 vote)

Got this in my email box this morning, from the FurBid Administrators: "This is a message to let everyone know that the official Furbid Mascot Contest has begun. For those of you who have not been following its development in both the Furbid Discussion Board and the Furbid LiveJournal group, you can find the official rules here.

Thank you, and good luck to all who apply!"

Let's see.... they already ran a contest a couple of years ago. Caribou won it with an adorable bat named Sheckles.

They didn't do anything with it.

I understand Caribou agreed to pull out due to other obligations, so they went to the second place winner, Kacey Maltzman with a skunktaur. They have decided also to pass on the deal.

I was third in the lineup. Nobody asked me about it, and now they are going to give up and hold another contest and start over.

Hmm.

Food for thought.

Your worth is only what Ayukawataur decides it will be. That's appropriate since they own and operate Furbid now. I would say Aatheus does, but he long ago gave up on the project when Ayukawataur was brought in.

I honestly don't know why Furbid needs to be updated and changed. It wasn't broken. Why ruin a working system?

If it isn't broken, don't fix it. And certainly don't let others make your decisions for you.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Wish others would too, because this whole Ayukawataur thing is way out of hand. Ayukawataur = Hitler
