Time running out for ConiFur hotel

ConiFur NW, the Seattle area's own furry convention, is less than six weeks away. Deadline for the cheap membership rate of $30 is Oct. 12. And the deadline to have the room block expanded is Sept. 28.

We know that many of you have more important things on your mind at the moment. We've all been affected by Tuesday's tragic attack in one way or another, and our condolences and sympathy go out to all those who have lost someone, and to those who have suffered in other ways.

Despite it all, the days continue to go by, and deadlines approach. Thus, we are obligated to remind you that now is the best time to make your Conifur Northwest hotel reservations if you haven't already. If our room block fills up before September 28th (two weeks from now), we can get it enlarged; after that, it's frozen and if it fills up, you may not be able to get the deeply discounted convention rate of $79 a night. The number for the Best Western Executive Inn in Fife is 1-800-938-8500, and be sure to mention Conifur. If you have any trouble, please report it to us immediately at cfnw-info@conifur.org, so that we have the best chance of getting it straightened out before it's too late.

Preregistration at the discounted rate of $30 is open for another month. Mailed preregistrations must be postmarked by October 12th. After that, you'll be able to register at the door for $35.
