3. Furly Edition Zero
Party Announcements, Other items of interest that should go in the first
edition? The deadline to get submissions in for inclusion within Furly
Edition Zero is midnight on the evening of January 16th. Due to the time
required for preparation and printing no submissions can be accepted after
that time. If you have specific announcements to put within Furly Zero for
the beginning of the con, send them in to marketing@furtherconfusion.org.
If you have announcements for later printings of Furly Edition, we will
have boxes put out at the con at con-ops and the info desk.
4. Hotel News
Currently the room blocks are sold out at both the DoubleTree and Holiday
Inn. There may be a few minute last cancellations and you should check
directly with the hotel for the possibility.
5. Dealers Room and Furry Market Place: Sold Out, Waiting List Closed
We have a wonderful collection of dealers in both the Dealer Room and
Furry Market Place looking forward to showing their wares and offering
them for sale during our upcoming Surf Safari. We also just closed our
application process for our Waiting List. It's just getting very, very
close to the convention and we wish all of you and yours a merry holiday
from all of us in the Dealer Room area.
Those of you on the Waiting List know who you are, be sure to check your
email on a regular basis as we will be contacting one or more of you the
moment space should happen to become available.
For those of you that are IN our Dealer Room or Furry Market Place, if,
for some unforeseen reason find yourself unable to make it to the
convention, please, please, please let the dealer room staff know as soon
as you know by writing to dealers@furtherconfusion.org. That way we can
get you refunded and let one of those people waiting on the Waiting List
into the room in time for them to get their wares together. We don't want
to lose ANY of you from our vendor areas, but we always will understand
when circumstances change and you can't make it. No Shows do NOT get any
refunds, so if you can't make it, let us know!
6. Art Show
By the time this email goes out, our Art show will be sold out. We hope to have
a list of participating artist up on our website soon. If you are
uncertain about your art show status, please email
artshow@furtherconfusion.org
7. Masquerade
It's time to get thinking about entries for this year's Masquerade!
Maybe just a bit past time, but here it goes...
The Masquerade rules have been posted to the Further Confusion web site
shortly. It is highly recommend that everyone read the rules for this
year, as we've made several important changes. Also, Saturday is a long
day for costumers, packed with many fursuit-related events, so if you're
going to be in the Masquerade and/or FNL, please check the convention
schedule carefully for how it applies to you.
The Masquerade will have a 'strongly recommended' judging session from
10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday morning, and a MANDATORY rehearsal and further
judging from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Saturday evening. We'd like to take care of as
many entrants as possible in the morning hour, so please come to the
earlier session if it's practical.
Masquerade entry forms will be available at the morning judging session
and from 11:00am in the Events Office. Entry forms MUST be turned in by 4:00pm
Saturday! Also, please have your audio CD ready (as described in the
rules) by 4:00pm, or we'll have to choose a musical selection for you, and
just might pick Hamsterdance to get you back!
Masquerade Rules are online at:
http://www.furtherconfusion.org/fc2009/events/masquerade
8. Furry Night Live official Call for Acts
Further Confusion's Sunday evening tradition - Furry Night Live is
currently accepting not only live on-stage acts but video submissions as
well, competing for audience votes and prizes. To reserve space, please

- Title and description of your act
- Main Contact's name/email
- Approximate running time
- Stage or Video
- Act is for competition (yes/no) - not-for-competition
acts will be reserved for the end of the show, to allow for ballot counting time
- Any special requirements beyond plain CD/DVD playback: live audio,
instruments, or other custom audio sources
For future announcements and updates, join the FNL09
Discussion Mailing List: <http://www.furtherconfusion.org/fc2009/signup/fnl>
(FNL'08 membership does not carry over to 2009)
Revised rules and full application forms will be posted shortly
to the website and mailing list. If the show fills up there may
be a possibility of acts being cut or applications being closed at-con,
so please apply soon.
9. Fursuit Photography
Tugrik wanted to let people know that it's not just fursuits, he is more
then happy to take photos of groups, people or pets. Anyone and everyone
is welcome, take a photo of your roomies, your local crew of furs or
something nice to send to your friends.
10. Spirituality Programming
We invite you to come to the spirituality programming at Further Confusion
2009. We are having panels on various traditions, as well as a roundtable
discussion. Panels include Totemism, Saved by the Buddha, Norse Paganism,
Furry Christianity, and Paganism Today. Check the Further Confusion
website for more information on these panels. If you'd like to help in the
spirituality section, please contact Blackfeather Tanfur.
