CNN is carrying a story about the recent find of the mummified remains of a lion in an Egyptian tomb south of Cairo. It was found in the tomb of Maia, wet nurse to Tutankhamum - who ruled for ten years between 1313 and 1323 B.C. The Egyptologist interviewed in the article believes this confirms the status of the lion as a sacred animal.
