I know I should probably be posting somewhere like /r/art, but I'm a furry and I'm mostly interested in drawing furry stuff so, here I am. I bought a sketch pad and pencils about a month ago and have done some sketches, all copying the art of another artist to the best of my abilities. I just feel like there's no improvement and I want to give up. What do I do to motivate myself? And should I get a tablet? I feel as if a tablet would make it easier to learn and improve instead of pencil and paper. Any artists wanna lend me a hand here?

“… of the animals who didn’t get on the Ark.” That’s the official tag line of Oops! Noah is Gone, a new CGI feature film coming out later this year. Produced in Germany and animated all over Europe, it follows the story of David and his young son Finny, the last of the Nestrians, and what happens when one of them misses the boat — literally. The official English trailer explains it all better… sort of. No word yet on if it’s to be released to North American theaters or only on DVD. Thanks to Cartoon Brew for the heads-up.

KC Solo Show~ Convention news- Further Confusion is this week! Fuzz & Teiran and a whole bunch of other Furplanet folks are out there, so say hi if you somehow download this before you get to the con. Furry Fiesta is SUPER CLOSE. Shiva is off working on Staff polos. She’s solo producing them so it’s crunch time for her. Gaming track - I’ve acquired a second CRT via dumpster diving. It works! You too can play old school vidya in the proper aspect ratio. Specifically Brawl. Super exited for Fiesta, hotel is completely full, this is going to be a fantastically big year for us. I really really really want to get my artwork known. I love drawing and want to create a living based off of it. But, whenever I post my art on tumblr or FA, it gets very little attention, and most of it is just from friends I show it to.
So, I have to ask; how do you get your art seen by a lot of people?
