As we grow, so do most of our fursonas.

I want everyone to post pics of your first version of your fursona and now. How much have they changed over time?

Not only did my art change a lot, but also Dexx used to be goat-rabbit-fox-deer, now he is just fox and reindeer (caribou). His ears got shorter, he got more piercings, and his antlers changed a little bit.

Today I looked at my Reddit submissions. Essentially, they're all pictures of my sona or a closely associated character. To me, that's kinda stupid. I'm looking to actually do some form of community interaction since I've mostly just lurked or dropped in self-portraits. Good for silently grubbing karma, bad for getting to know people!

So, if you'd like to be drawn/have your character drawn (however the hell you see it, lol), drop your character name, a ref if you have one, a pose you'd like, and basic personality quirks so that whatever I draw doesn't look dead inside (unless that's what you want, I don't judge). Also, please keep poses and such simple, I'm still learning! That way, hopefully, anything that comes out will give the illusion that I actually know what I'm doing! (Also no NSFW please. Nobody wants to see what would happen if I tried, trust me.)

If there are any actual takers (I'd be surprised), this isn't commission stuff, its free! I don't think I could ever charge for the BS I put out. Also I'm probably only going to choose like 3 or 5, and hopefully post on the weekend. Yeah, I'm that slow. Apologies to everyone in advance.

I don't want to sound like some kind of self righteous jerk but I'll go ahead and list mine. My sona is an alien, born on a super earth. She has osmium-based bones and scales. She can somewhat see into ultraviolet and infrared. She also has a host of genetic phenomenon like myostatin deficiency and gigantism. She also has small venomous fangs. So...what about you guys?

I'm interested in getting something from furbuy but i'm worried that i will never use it. I have never been to a con and can't drive, though my boyfriend would probably be happy to take me to stuff we both like (comic cons and the like, not sure if fursuiters are common there...)

Where do you wear your suit? Where are places I could wear mine if I were to get one?

Asus dives in deep to the whole birds with arms thing.

Hi Papabear,

My name's Bluefluffy. I’m a young gay fur and I kinda fell in love with a fursona—not with the person himself, just with the fursona, and, more specifically, one picture of him. But it's quite useless to be in love like that. I can't hug him, and so it’s pretty hard, but I can’t keep him off my mind; I keep falling in love.

Next to that, the person himself is way older than me—I guess like 18 years older—and he lives in the US and I live in little Belgium in Europe. It can only make me sad by keep being in love with him. 

I had a real-life boyfriend in the meantime, and I wasn't in love with that fursona anymore, but things went wrong and we broke up, so I’m single again. And I fell in love with that one fursona again :(

What can I do?

Hi, Bluefluffy,

Simple: this fursona that the American fellow has represents those traits that you find most attractive. What you should do, then, is take mental notes (or, even, write them down) as to what things about this furry character attract you.

These traits become the measuring stick you can use when looking for a mate to share your life with. Now, obviously, they can’t be physical traits like fur and a snout LOL, but rather it’s the personality traits you are seeking.

Keeping in mind that it is not too often you find someone who meets all your desires 100%, allow yourself a little leeway when socializing with potential boyfriends and mates. Don’t reject someone, in other words, just because that person isn’t perfect. No one is perfect, but you can get pretty close.

Let this fursona that you love, therefore, provide you with a model for what you seek.
